Luxury cars sell quickly at Shanghai Auto Show

Chinanews, Shanghai, Apr. 26 �C In only three days after the Shanghai
Auto Show opened to the public, all the luxury cars were sold out. Most
of them were sold at 2-10 million yuan, the Shanghai Morning Post
reported.
At the Bentley exhibition booth, three Bentley cars were marked by a sign
that read ��sold out��. The manufacturer made the three models especially
for the Shanghai Auto Show and all of them were sold in half a day during
the first public open day.
The most expensive Bentley model was an Arnage RL sold at a price of 6.48
million yuan. It was bought by a businessman from Zhejiang. The other two
models, a Continental GTC convertible race car and a four-seat
Continental GTC, were bought by two Shanghainese at a price of 3.58
million yuan and 3.38 million yuan, respectively.
Among the rest of the luxury cars available for sale, a Maybach was
marked with a selling price of 9,000,000 yuan. A staff member from
Mercedes-Benz��s China company said that during the Shanghai Auto Show,
many Chinese people came to ask them about the configuration information
and the selling price of the car. In three days, they had sold two units
of such Maybach cars. One of them was bought by money pooled by several
members of one family, who intended to give the car to their father as a
gift.
Ferrari and Maserati brought six models of their cars to the Shanghai
Auto Show this year. Two models were placed only for exhibition and one
was sold even before the auto show began. The other three models, a
Ferrari 430, a Ferrari 599, and a Maserati President, were sold at the
auto show at a price of 2.84 million yuan, 3.76 million yuan and 1.92
million yuan, respectively.
Porsche took nine model cars to attend the show this time. Apart from one
concept model, all the rest of the models were sold out now.
Lamborghini brought two models to the show this time, one being a
MURCIELAGOLP640 marked with a price of 4.38 million yuan and the other a
GALLARDOSPYDER of 3.38 million yuan. Both cars have been ordered.
Spyker displayed three models at the exhibition. One was a SSUV��D12
marked with at a price of 5.88 million yuan and the other was a C8D12
model with a selling price of 6.68 million yuan. Both models have been
purchased.
