China-OAS Cooperation Fund established

On February 23rd, the Organization of American States (OAS) entered into
an agreement with China to establish the China-OAS Cooperation Fund,
which will be used for the cooperation activities for both parties over
the next five years. The Chinese government is contributing 1 million US
dollars to the fund. Ambassador Yang Jiechi, China's Permanent Observer
to the OAS, and Einaudi, Acting General Secretary of the OAS,
respectively signed the agreement on behalf of each side. The picture
shows them toasting to wish a successful cooperation for both sides.
