Largest gold and silver jewelry center to open

Turkey's Istanbul will open the world's largest gold and silver jewelry
center, Kuyumcukent, in September, 2005. This center, with a total
investment of 170 million US dollars, covers an area of 330,000 square
meters. Capable of accommodating 2,500 jewelry companies, retailers and
wholesalers, it will shoot for 10 billion US dollars of turnover every
year with an annual jewelry output of 750 tons.
